Shipment of a Slitting- and Windingmachine to Japan

For one of our long-standing customers we recently organized a transport of a complete Slitting- and Winding-machine (cutting and winding of foils) to Kobe / Japan. Together with various Containers an oversized case had to be transported and shipped. The case with the dimensions of 8.35 x 3.05 x 3.75 m showed a weight of 27.695,- kg. The supervision of this shipment was with our department “International Forwarding” who organized the transports from the factory of the manufacturer to the port of Hamburg in close cooperation with our Transport-department. Furthermore they were responsible for stuffing of the big case on 1 x 40’ Flat and the shipment of the complete machine to the port of Kobe in Japan. The machine already arrived in Japan in safe and sound conditions onboard the motor-vessel "NYK Arcadia". Immediately after arrival our long-standing Japanese partner arranged the customs-clearance and the transport of the machine to the jobsite. Meanwhile the machine is installed and will start production within short.
